Photography Retreat in the Himalayas, Nepal 2018

In October 2018 I had the privilege of leading this incredible retreat, along with Helen McCabe and our amazing hosts, Annie and Lizzie from Mahalaya Nepal. We took 12 guests on the trip of a lifetime to one of the most beautiful and remote areas of world in the Himalayas. Against the backdrop of the stunning Annapurna mountain range, in an area of high desert, the landscape is dramatic, expansive and awe-inspiring. This extraordinary place, often considered “more Tibetan than Tibet” thanks to its preservation of traditions and lifestyles was the perfect place to explore the meditation practice that is photography. The power and energy of this place at our base in the village of Kagbeni was the perfect location to explore the ‘power of limits’, to play with the concepts of light and time whilst using the camera lens to focus our consciousness.

Helen supported and complimented our creative work with guided yoga and meditation practices each morning and evening.

We will be leading another Photography and Yoga retreat with just 12 people, in September 2019 in the beautiful area of Puglia, southern Italy. Here is the link for more information:
